About the shop
Maple & Thread opened in 2019 in a former tailor’s shop on Witherspoon Street. Owner Elise Marchetti buys from about forty small studios across North America — a knitter in Nova Scotia, a ceramicist in Asheville, a letterpress shop in Lambertville — and carries only what she would give as a gift herself. Complimentary wrapping, always.
“The kind of shop where everything is chosen by a person with taste. I never leave empty-handed.”— Hannah W.
“Bought my sister’s whole birthday here — linen napkins, a candle, and a card the owner wrote out for me.”— Marcus B.
“Beautiful knitwear from small makers you cannot find online. Worth the parking hassle.”— Julia K.
